The Trenton High School girl’s tennis program will have 11 players ready to represent the “Black and Gold” for the 2021 season, with practice beginning Monday morning at the Carpenter-Bosley Courts at THS.

After Wednesday morning’s third day of practice, KTTN Sports Director Tom Johnson caught up with Lady Bulldog tennis coach Tammy Ockenfels about her excitement for the season, and an overview of the fall roster:

Both the boys tennis program in the spring, and the girls tennis program in the fall, have seen consistent success for a number of years, with recent years seeing a string of success extending into the postseason with a handful of district championships earned.  That positive momentum in both programs is noticeable in the THS hallways in both participation numbers and level of confidence:

The season opener for the Lady Bulldogs is approaching quickly, with a trip to Carrollton on Tuesday, August 31st.  The home opener is two nights later, with Savannah at Trenton High School on Thursday, September 2nd.
