Behind 30 points from MIAA Player of the Year Justin Pitts, the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats beat Lincoln Memorial, 79-67 in the NCAA Division 2 national semifinals at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
In the Thursday night victory, Pitts had six assists, Zach Schneider 13 points and Anthony Woods 11 points.
In the national championship game, set for a 2 o’clock tip on Saturday afternoon, #2 seeded Northwest to challenge top-seeded Fairmont State. The game will be televised nationally on CBS.
