Chiefs rookie misses team drills with hamstring injury

Kansas City Chiefs Local Sports NFL

Kansas City Chiefs second-round draft pick Skyy Moore has a hamstring injury, that, while considered minor, did keep the rookie out of team drills at a mini-camp held this past weekend.  Chiefs officials are hopeful that Moore can return to the field for organized team activities that start on Wednesday, May 25th.  Moore is a product of Western Michigan University, where he was a two-time (2019, 2021) first-team all-MAC selection.

The minor aspect to the injury was confirmed by the Kansas City Star on Sunday afternoon, slowing offseason progress for Moore, who is joining a wide receiving corps in 2022 that includes free agent acquisitions JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, with that group hoping to replace the production lost by the offseason trade of All-Pro Tyreek Hill to Miami.
