The Lady Pirates of North Central Missouri College traveled to Leavenworth, Kansas on Tuesday night, playing the Spires JV team from the University of St. Mary.

In a game that saw the best offensive performance of the season from sophomore guard Kendey Eaton, and continued off-the-bench excellence from Whitley Richman, North Central ran away from St. Mary in the third quarter, extending a 39-30 halftime lead to 63-37 over the course of 10 minutes, winning 86-54.

Eaton, the sophomore guard from Mound City High School, hit three 3-point shots in scoring a team-high 20 points, going with five assists.  Starting guard Samm Jett matched Eaton with a trio of three-pointers, part of an 11 point night, while Sarah Lamp had 10 points and nine boards.  Whitley Richman continues to provide a spark off the North Central bench, grabbing a team-high 13 rebounds in the win, adding eight points and four assists.  Freshman Ashtin Williams, a product of Brookfield High School, had 10 points and 4 boards off Jenni Croy’s bench.

NCMC, now 4-2 on the season, will put their three-game winning streak to the test this weekend, traveling to Quincy, Illinois to play in the John Wood Community College Classic.  On Saturday afternoon at 1 o’clock, the Lady Pirates play Bryant and Stratton College of Wisconsin.  On Sunday afternoon at 1, North Central will challenge the host John Wood Trail Blazers.
