The Gilman City basketball teams hosted the annual Gilman City Tournament last week, with the Ladyhawks finishing in sixth place, falling to Northeast Nodaway on Friday night, 48-42 in the consolation final, while the Gilman City boys fell in their final two games in tournament play, including a 51-45 loss to Northeast Nodaway in Saturday afternoon’s third place game.

The Hawks hosted the Grundy County Panthers in HDC Conference play on Tuesday night, host the Breckenridge Bulldogs on Thursday night, and travel to Ridgeway to play the East Harrison Bobcats on Friday, before beginning play in the HDC Conference Tournament in Winston on Saturday. The Gilman City girls play East Harrison at 12 noon, followed by the Hawks battling the Mercer Cardinals at 1:30.
