The Chillicothe Hornets tennis team hosted the Trenton Bulldogs on Monday afternoon, with CHS winning all varsity matches, taking the decisive 9-0 victory over their long-time archrivals.
The closest match of the afternoon came at #1 singles, where Gracy Reeter of Chillicothe took a 7-0 tiebreak decision over Trenton’s Emma Gilham, after both young ladies battled to a 8-8 tie in regulation play. At #5 singles, Trenton’s Lexi Gott was doubled up by the Lady Hornets entry of Hannah Zimmerman, 8-4, while another close match went to CHS at #2 doubles, with Gracy Reeter and Lucy Reeter downing Elle Neal and Lattorie Johnson, 9-7. At #3 doubles, Macy Cavanah teamed with Hannah Zimmerman defeated Lexi Gott and Morgan Dolan, 8-5.
