Missouri football coach Eliah Drinkwitz picked up yet another superb high school senior in the recruiting class of 2021, as the Tigers continued success in the state of Indiana, sharing the verbal “yes” from Indianapolis area defensive end Kyran Montgomery.  Montgomery, a top-300 level recruit nationally, ranked four star by Rivals and three star by 247Sports, chose MU over offers from Minnesota, Florida State, and Arizona State.  The commitment is the 19th for Drinkwitz in the class, ranked #19 in the country and #7 in the SEC by Rivals.

Defensive end appears to be perhaps the greatest strength of MU’s incoming class, as Montgomery, who was offered by Mizzou on January 27th, becomes the sixth commitment at that position, joining St. Louis natives Travion Ford and Mekhi Wingo, along with juco addition Shemar Pearl, Johnathan Jones, and Daniel Robledo.  He is the second commitment from the city of Indianapolis, usually a strong Big 10 recruiting base, joining cornerback Daylan Carnell.
