Lady Pirates leave South Carolina with four-game winning streak, 15-5 record

The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates pounded out 19 runs in a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday, defeating Harper College 12-4 and Principia College 7-4.  The wins push North Central’s record to double figures above .500 (15-5) for the first time this season.

NCMC went 6-2 in playing four doubleheaders over five days in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  The Lady Pirates opened play on Friday with a 4-2 win over South Suburban College and an 8-0 triumph over Central Lakes (Brainerd, Minnesota).

North Central struggled on Saturday in being shutout over 12 innings in doubleheader action, falling 3-0 to Florence-Darlington Tech and 8-0 in five innings against the Guilford College JV.

After an off day on Sunday, the Lady Pirates rebounded with a pair of Monday morning victories, downing Principia 3-1 and the Guilford JV 9-2.

North Central Missouri College’s softball team is next in action on Friday afternoon, playing in Neosho, Missouri against Crowder College at 2 and 4 o’clock.
