Mack Anderson’s rare “quadruple-double” leads Southwest boys to 88-31 win

The Southwest Livingston boys received an incredible all-around performance from sophomore center Mack Anderson on Monday night, with a 29 point, 20 rebound, 10 block, 10 assist night leading the Wildcats to an 88-31 win over Bunceton, in the quarterfinal round of the Keytesville Tournament.  Wyatt Maddux had 18 points for the CLAA regular season champions in the victory.

The Class 1, #2 ranked Southwest girls hammered Keytesville in an opening round test, 67-22, behind 29 points, four steals, and three assists from Kortlyn Rounkles;, 19 points and 13 rebounds from Kaylie Campbell; and 11 points, five steals, and three helpers from Colee Webb.

In other first round action on Monday night at Keytesville High School, the Prairie Home girls and boys took a pair of wins, with a 57-38 girls final against Bunceton, and a 58-40 boys triumph over the Norborne Pirates.

The Southwest girls will play Prairie Home in a 7 o’clock semifinal on Thursday night.

In quarterfinal action tonight (Tuesday night), the #2 seeded Norborne Lady Pirates play Brunswick at 4:30, followed by the Brunswick boys (#3 seed) opposite Bevier at 5:45.  The #3 seed Higbee girls battle Bevier at 7 o’clock, with the Keytesville boys, seeded #4, drawing a meeting with Higbee at 8:15.
