The Mercer girls softball team is set to have a very strong team in 2016, with a group of seven established seniors bolstered by good underclassmen talent. Fourteen ladies are on the Lady Cardinal squad this fall, with first-year coach Melissa Hill excited as her team starts play on Saturday in the East Harrison Tournament, before an early season showdown with Princeton, Monday night at 5;30 on the Cardinal home field.
