Milan remains out of Top 10, as East Buchanan surges to the top of Class 1

High School Football

East Buchanan’s dramatic victory over rival Mid-Buchanan in a Friday night comeback, combined with #1 Westran’s upset loss at Scotland County, has sent the Bulldogs to the top of the polls in Class 1 this week.  Meanwhile, at the bottom of the top 10, the Grand River Conference co-leaders from Milan, despite an unblemished record of 6-0, remain just outside of the tenth position held by the Penney Hornets of Hamilton, at 4-2 winners of two straight games.

In Class 2, Lathrop’s 21-7 win over Lawson solidified the Mules hold on #3 in the state for another week, while dropping the Cardinals, although just one spot down to #5.
