NCMC adds high-scoring Sturgeon Bulldog to ’20 recruiting class

Men's Basketball

North Central Missouri College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Esry has announced the addition of 5’9″ Sturgeon High School guard Kenny Stone to the Pirates 2020 recruiting class.

Stone scored 1,612 points during his four-year career with the Bulldogs, culminating his time at SHS as a Class 2 Missouri Basketball Coaches Association all-state selection in his senior year.  Twice Stone was named All-District, and in the 2018-2019 season, he was named the MVP of the CAC Conference.

Coach Esry has a long history with Stone, noting that “he first got to know Kenny when he was in sixth grade and I was working a summer basketball camp at Central Methodist University!”.  Esry went on to say that Stone, even at that young age, “was one of the most electrifying kids at that camp and his skills set and game has only grown from there!”.
