North Central Missouri College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Esry has announced the signing of Emil Spriggs, a 5’9″ point guard from Lee’s Summit North High School, to a national letter of intent.

Spriggs, as a senior, averaged 8.3 points and 4.3 assists per game, named to the Suburban Gold All-Conference Team.

Coach Esry is excited about Spriggs, saying that the guard “is a bulldog on the basketball court in the exact mold to guard that we were looking for to replace Teyontae Jenkins and Demetrius Houston.  I think that Pirate fans will enjoy watching him play, with the level of intensity he bring every time he steps on the court”.

Spriggs is the third Missouri high school player in the Class of 2017 to sign with North Central Missouri College, joining Jake Salisbury of Grain Valley and Calvin Heidenwith of Putnam County.
