The North Central Missouri College softball program will host its yearly fund-raising tournament, the “Nan Carter High School Softball Classic”, this Saturday at the Ebbe Sports Complex, adjacent to Trenton High School. The Trenton Lady Bulldogs will serve as the host school for the eight-team tournament, with games starting at 9 o’clock on Saturday morning, continuing throughout the afternoon and evening until the championship and third place games at 7:30 that night.
Trenton will be joined by three Grand River Conference foes (Gallatin, South Harrison, and Milan), in addition to North Harrison, Brookfield, a strong Marceline team, and Platte Valley, a combination of student-athletes from Jefferson and South Nodaway High Schools.
There will be nine hours of pool play games on Saturday, starting at 9 o’clock in the morning, with both Griffin and Johnson Fields being used to play the contests. Trenton will be joined by South Harrison, Brookfield, and Platte Valley in “Pool A”, with games between those squads going to Griffin Field. Four other teams, in Milan, Gallatin, North Harrison, and Marceline, will go into “Pool B”, with their games being played at Johnson Field.
