Orrick, Southwest Livingston to play in District 13 girls championship showdown

The top-seeded Orrick Lady Bearcats will host the #2 seed Southwest Livingston Lady Wildcats on Friday night at 6:30, with the winner receiving the Class 1, District 13 championship hardware, and earning a trip to St. Joseph Civic Arena for the state sectionals on Tuesday, February 28th.

Orrick improved to 22-4 on the season with a 54-40 victory over the Braymer Lady Bobcats on Wednesday night, while Southwest held back a challenge from CLAA Conference rival Hardin-Central to win 57-44.

The boys semifinals in District 13 will be played tonight (Thursday night) at Orrick High School, with the unbeaten, #1 ranked Winston Redbirds drawing Southwest Livingston at 6 o’clock, followed by the #2 seeded Braymer Bobcats playing the Hardin-Central Bulldogs at 7:30.  The Class 1, District 13 boys championship game will be played on Saturday afternoon at 1 o’clock at Orrick High School.
