Princeton opens gridiron season with Dragon domination, Milan fights hard but falls to Mark Twain

The Princeton Tigers began the football season on Friday night, traveling to Faucett, Missouri and overwhelming the young Dragons of Mid-Buchanan High School, winning in a 50-7 ‘clock-runner’, broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3.  The Tigers, now 1-0 on the season, will host the North Platte Panthers this Friday night in the home opener at Eddie Allen Field, with North Platte licking their wounds after a 42-13 loss at Gallatin on Friday night.

The Milan Wildcats welcomed the Mark Twain Tigers to Cal Hubbard Field on Friday night, but came up short in a 28-14 final score.  The Wildcats will take an 0-1 record on the road this Friday, traveling to Mokane (south of Fulton) to take on the #8 (Class 2 MBCA) ranked South Callaway Bulldogs. Dennis Stephenson will call the action on KTTN FM 92.3 and www.kttn.com (KTTN on Tune-In Radio).
