The four teams to participate in the 2020 Hall of Fame Classic at the Sprint Center in Kansas City have been announced, with Bruce Weber’s current team and former team among the squads converging on Mid-America for the Thanksgiving Week staple.

The local favorite Kansas State Wildcats highlight the field, to be joined by the Illinois Fighting Illini out of the Big 10 Conference, the Arkansas Razorbacks of the Southeastern Conference, and the Cincinnati Bearcats from the American Athletic Conference.

Tournament organizers are hopeful that proximity to Kansas City, Missouri will help with attendance at the event, with Illinois, Kansas State, and Arkansas hailing from states that border Missouri, with UC providing a short flight and strong basketball tradition from southwestern Ohio.

There are some intriguing potential matchups that could come from the tournament, including Bruce Weber facing, with the Wildcats, his former team from Illinois.  Arkansas is considered a program on the rise in the SEC, going into the second year under highly-touted head coach Eric Musselman.
