Redbirds rout Southwest, draw Braymer in district championship test

The Winston Redbirds rode a combined 32 point from the Lewis brothers to a 26th victory on the season, beating Southwest Livingston 67-34 in the semifinals of Class 1, District 13 at Orrick High School.

Jacob Lewis scored 19 points with older brother Craig scoring 13 for the ‘Birds, while Cy Uthe added 12.  For Southwest, freshman center Mack Anderson had a game-high 21 points.

Winston will play in the District 13 championship game against the Braymer Bobcats, a 57-37 semifinal winner over Hardin-Central.  The Redbirds/Bobcats showdown will be played at 1 o’clock on Saturday afternoon.  

The Class 1, District 13 girls championship game will be played on Friday night in Orrick, as #1 seed Orrick hosts the #2 seed Southwest Livingston Lady Wildcats.
