Sporting Kansas City forward Daniel Salloi found the back of the net in both the first and second halves of Wednesday’s home contest with Colorado, giving SKC at 2-1 win at Children’s Mercy Park.

The game ended in testy fashion, with an MLS-record four red cards waived, all coming in second-half stoppage time.  The win snapped a seven-match winless streak for Kansas City (3-7-3, 12 points), while dropping Colorado’s record to 4-5-3, good for 15 points.

Colorado is now 0-5-1 away from home this season, and just 1-4-3 in their last eight trips to Kansas City, Kansas.

With newfound momentum coming off of the mid-week win, Sporting will head to San Jose, California to play the Earthquakes on Sunday night at 6:30, with the game from PayPal Park to be shown live on 38 the Spot, the Sporting KC App, and SportingKC.com.
