South Harrison Tournament moves all trophy games to Friday night, using two gymnasiums at Bethany campus

The South Harrison Tournament will take its final scheduled two days of basketball action in the 2017 event, and play eight games on Friday night, utilizing the high school gymnasium, and the adjacent new junior high gymnasium in Bethany.

On Thursday night, the #1 seeded Mercer Cardinals moved into the boys championship game with a 64-33 victory over the Maysville Wolverines.  Bryer Noe led Mercer with 16 points, with Cash Hartley adding 15, Matthew Johnson 12, Grey Porter 10, and Camden Hartley 10 points.  

Mercer will play South Harrison in Friday night’s championship game, after the Bulldogs downed the Putnam County Midgets in a thrilling late-night semifinal affair, 76-72.

In Thursday night’s boys consolation semifinals, the Princeton Tigers hopped back into the win column with a 68-47 win over the North Harrison Shamrocks, while the Northeast Nodaway Blue Jays outscored the East Harrison Bobcats 84-68.

4:30 PM – 

Girls 7th place – Maysville vs. NE Nodaway (junior high gym)

Girls 3rd place – Princeton vs. South Harrison (high school gym)

6:00 PM – 

Boys 7th place – North Harrison vs. East Harrison (junior high gym)

Boys 3rd place – Maysville vs. Putnam County (high school gym)

7:30 PM – 

Girls 5th place – Putnam County vs. East Harrison (junior high gym)

Girls Championship Game – Mercer vs. North Harrison (high school gym)

9:00 PM – 

Boys 5th place – Princeton vs. Northeast Nodaway (junior high gym)

Boys Championship Game – Mercer vs. South Harrison (high school gym)
