In the boys Class 3 state track and field meet on Saturday at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Trenton’s Brian Ewing placed fourth in the 100 meter dash, fifth in the 200 meter dash, and sixth in the long jump, amassing all 12 of the Bulldogs points in the meet.

Last week’s tornado damage at Jefferson City High School moved the event to Columbia.

In the girls Class 3 meet, Trenton’s 4 by 400 meter relay team placed third.  The squad was comprised of Kristi Ewing, Lexi Gott, McKayla Blackburn, and Lexi Whitaker.

Trenton’s Kristi Ewing was fourth in the 400 meter dash, Lexi Whitaker fourth in the 300 hurdles, and Salem Croy fifth in the javelin, with those results gaining 20 points for THS.

Trenton was 12th in the girls standings.  Trinity Catholic was first with 118 points.  John Burroughs was second with 59.  Lawson tied for ninth with 22—just two points ahead of 12th place Trenton.

The Cameron Lady Dragons tied for 40th place with five points, coming from a fourth place finish from the 4 by 800 relay team (Zoe Foreman, Nicole Jackson, Khayla Walton, and Natalie Garr).  The Chillicothe girls tied for 55th place with one point, scored by Jordan Hibner, eighth place in the long jump.

Trinity Catholic won both the boys and girls team titles.  The TC boys scored 100 points.  The Cardinal Ritter boys were second at 82.  Other totals were Maryville (20th/13 points), Trenton (22nd/12 points), Lawson (25th/9 points), and Chillicothe (45th/3 points).

The Chillicothe points came from a sixth place finish by the 4 by 400 relay team (Ethan Corbin, Kaleb Mullikan, Peyton Forck, Isaak Rasche).
