THS golfers shoot 498, finishing 10th at Lawson Tournament

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs finished in 10th place in the 13 school Lawson Golf Tournament on Wednesday, with a team score of 498 besting 11th place Plattsburg’s 547, but finishing 12 strokes behind 9th place Excelsior Springs round of 486.

East Buchanan boasted both the team and individual championships, with the Lady Bulldogs team score of 367 sitting 21 strokes ahead of runner-up Smithville’s 388, with Pleasant Hill’s third place total at 405.  Lawson was fourth at 417, with Cameron 5th place at 453.  Maddi Jessen of East Buchanan shot 81 for first place individually, with Smithville’s Marie Peach second at 88.  Sidnee Carr’s 83 and Hannah Archedkin’s 95 gave East Buchanan three of the top four scores on the day.

Trenton’s top score was Josie Chumbley’s 112, with Reece Weldon at 113, Mari Atup 124, Sofia Currie at 149, and Morgan Brown at 153.

Princeton brought three players to Lawson, with Carsey Brown shooting 109 for the Lady Tigers, Riley Moreno at 124, and Makayla Meyer 131.
