Two Trenton Lady Bulldogs earned first-team honors, with two more earning second-team status in the Class 2 All-State softball teams announced this week.  The two pitchers that dueled in the state final, won by Bowling Green 2-1 over Trenton in 11 innings, were both named as first-team pitchers, with Trenton senior Ainsley Tolson joined by Bowling Green senior Sarah Harness.  Lathrop’s stalwart senior right-hander, Brooke Huitt, was a first-team pick, as was Blair Oaks senior Makenna Kliethermes.

First-team infielders include two from the hard-hitting Plattsburg Lady Tigers, in seniors Kelsie Lewis and Sydney Stephens.  The other infielders are Kelly senior Lilly Jones, Holden senior Bailee Bryant, Jefferson junior Abi Chipps, and Blair Oaks junior Kaitlyn Kolb.

Two members of the Holden Lady Eagles outfield makeup half of the first-team outfielders, in seniors Peyton Corrigan and Maggie Klover.  Blair Oaks senior Brooke Boessen and Warsaw junior Rayni Simons are the other outfield selections.  The two at-large first-teamers are Highland senior Becca Scott and Elsberry senior Tess Weakly.
