The Trenton basketball teams played in the Gallatin Invitational Tournament last week, with the #2 ranked Lady Bulldogs rolling to their third straight championship in the GIT, while the Trenton boys got their first two victories of the season, before falling to Winston for the third consecutive year in the GIT final.
On Tuesday night, the Bulldogs opened the home portion of the season with a doubleheader sweep of Marceline. Up next, the Chillicothe Hornets, who travel to THS for doubleheader action on Thursday night on KTTN FM 92.3.
The Trenton wrestling team has had an equally busy week, with a season-opening triangular at Cameron High School on Thursday, an appearance in the Marceline Tournament on Saturday, and a trip to Gallatin on Tuesday night, where the Bulldogs lost to the host Gallatin Bulldogs in dual action, but beat GRC rival South Harrison.
