The Trenton High School wrestling team finished 11th among 39 schools in a two-day tournament that finished Saturday afternoon in Lexington.

Trenton Head Coach Charlie Bacon said a handful of those teams dropped out the second day because of the weather conditions.

Buffalo High School won the tourney with 432 points.  Marceline was second with 421, Lawson third with 419, Gallatin fourth with 383, Trenton 11th with 184, and Maysville was 12th with 177 1/2 points.

Here is Coach Bacon:

Coach Bacon recognized Daniel Rodriguez, Noah Lewis, Nick Wattenbarger, and Cole Little for “doing good jobs”, even though they did not medal.

The Bulldog grapplers, as was their plan going into the icy weekend, stayed in the dormitories at Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington.
