The Putnam County Lady Midgets, playing on their home course in Unionville, tipped the Trenton Lady Bulldogs 225-228 in a competitive head-to-head duel between Grand River Conference foes on Monday afternoon.
Trenton’s Maci Henson had the top score of the day, with a round of 49, two strokes better than the 51 of Jade Durfey of Putnam County. The difference in team scores came from the middle of the Midget lineup cracking the middle to upper 50s, with Trenton’s scores a shade higher, from the upper 50s to lower 60s.
For Putnam County, Whitney shot 55, Capps 59, and Vestal 60. For Trenton, Mari Atup shot 57 on the day, with Oakley Madden and Josie Chumbley both at 61.
