Jags vs. Chiefs chosen for Saturday kickoff

Kansas City Chiefs Local Sports NFL

The National Football League has set the game and television schedule for this weekend’s divisional playoff round, with the Jacksonville at Kansas City AFC contest leading off the four-game slate on Saturday afternoon at 3:30, with NBC and Peacock with coverage from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

If the Chiefs beat the Jaguars, they will either play host to the Cincinnati Bengals in an AFC Championship Game rematch, or battle the Buffalo Bills in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which the NFL has determined to be the site of that potential contest.  If Jacksonville swings the upset of the Chiefs, the Jaguars would be on the road to play in either Cincinnati or Buffalo on Sunday, January 29th.

On Saturday night, an old-school NFC East matchup will head to Philadelphia, where the NFC East champion Eagles host a New York Giants team coming off a wild-card win at Minnesota last weekend.  The Giants at Eagles NFC divisional kicks at 7:15 on Saturday night on FOX.

On Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals head to Orchard Park, New York to play the Buffalo Bills in a battle of divisional winners.  CBS will have the coverage, with kick at 2 o’clock.  On Sunday night, the Dallas Cowboys, coming off of Monday night’s win at Tampa Bay, head to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California to play the NFC West champion San Francisco 49ers, with coverage on FOX.  The game kicks at 5:30 PM.

The NFC Championship Game will be carried on FOX at 2:05 PM on January 29th, with the AFC Championship Game on CBS at 5:30 that evening.  Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona will kickoff at 5:30 PM on Sunday, February 12th.
