Sporting KC grabs late season momentum with back-to-back wins

Sporting Kansas City completed a perfect 2-0 week with a Saturday night win over Minnesota United, with the 4-1 triumph coming four nights after a 3-0 shutout of D.C. United, with both victories coming at Children’s Mercy Park.

On Tuesday night, Khiry Shelton, Robert Voloder, and Daniel Salloi scored for Kansas City, giving Sporting its ninth victory of the season in match #31.

On Saturday, William Agada had a pair of goals for Sporting, with his first tally in the 45th minute, and a second goal in the 81st minute.  Erik Thommy had a goal for Kansas City, as the home team put eight shots on goal to Minnesota’s two.

Sporting Kansas City will host the Seattle Sounders, again at home, on Sunday, September 25th.
