In Saturday’s victory, the defending national champions rallied from a 42-41 halftime deficit, outscoring NCMC in the third quarter 23-13 in grabbing the road win, improving to 18-1 on the season.  Bruising forward Kamryn Estell led KCKCC with a game-high 27 points, with Aliyah Myers scoring 20 and Adoreya Williams 10.

NCMC, in falling to 12-6, had 20 points from Kortlyn Rounkles, 12 from Brittany McKay, and nine points each from Dymeria Guillory and Kennedie Kieffer.

Scoring eight points on the offensive end, but giving the Lady Pirates a key defensive force in the paint throughout the game was sophomore Da’Briauna Bables.  Here is Head Coach Jenni Croy:

The regularly scheduled NCMC men’s game with Johnson County was postponed due to weather and travel conditions.  That game will be made up on Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock, on Hot Country Z 101.7.
