The unbeaten Braymer Bobcats, sitting at 5-0 heading into the final weekend of September, sit at #6 in this week’s 8-man football media poll, released on Monday morning.

Schuyler County, enjoying its best season to date as an eight-man program, is 4-1 and ranked at #10.  The Rams will travel to Braymer on Friday night at 7 o’clock for one of the marquee matchups in the region this week.

The Archie Whirlwinds, at 5-0 and heading into a Week 6 contest at 4-1 Drexel, has six of seven first-place votes and remains #1, followed by Platte Valley, as the Jefferson/South Nodaway/North Nodaway cooperative is 5-0 and faces a strong challenge this week from unbeaten and #5 ranked South Holt.  Both South Holt (Week 1) and Platte Valley (Week 2) have victories over the 2-3 Princeton Tigers this season.

Worth County, with a four-game winning streak after an opening night loss to Platte Valley, is ranked third.  The Tigers host unbeaten and 8th-ranked Stanberry on Friday night, with Stanberry traveling to Grant City after a win at Princeton a week ago.

Nodaway Valley is ranked 7th and Appleton City 9th, with Albany and Concordia receiving votes.
