The Gallatin Bulldogs shot 407 on Monday in the Class 1, District 8 golf tournament in St. Joseph.  While that score would not threaten the 331 from district champion Bishop LeBlond, it did earn Gallatin runner-up honors, moving the entire Bulldog team of five into next week’s Class 1, Section 4 tournament.

Hank Lierz of LeBlond, with an even-par round of 71, took individual medalist honors in District 8, followed by teammate Jeffery Johnston, with a five-over par score of 76.  King City’s Collin Breckenridge finished third with a solid round of 84.

Gallatin’s scores were a pair of 95’s for Haden Bradford and Hayden Jumps, putting them as part of a three-way tie for 7th place with Stanberry’s Landon Marticke.  Owen Schweizer shot 105 for Gallatin, good for 11th place, with Justice Fry, at 112, in 14th place, while Riley Holmes shot 115 for 17th place.

Maysville will be advancing three golfers through to sectionals, as Conner Berry shot 122 for 20th place, Dalton Sweiger 123 for 22nd place, and Franklin Sweiger at 124, for a 24th place tie.
