The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Allen Americans in a first-round ECHL series, taking Game #5 by a score of 5-3, winning the series four games to one. Mark Rassell and Francesco Arcuri scored for Idaho, with Wade Murphy lighting the lamp for the first tally of the night.
The victory sends the Steelheads into a second-round series with the Kansas City Mavericks, after the #1 seeded Mavericks swept Tulsa in a first-round series that ended on Monday, April 22nd.
The Mountain Division Finals will begin on Friday night (May 3rd) at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri.
