Missouri football coach Eli Drinkwitz, after Monday afternoon’s practice in Columbia, confirmed injuries for wide receivers Mookie Cooper and Jay Maclin, with Cooper out “a couple of weeks” with a lower leg injury, and Maclin out for three to four weeks dealing with a broken forearm.

Cooper was a high-level transfer from Ohio State University, returning to his home-state Tigers in the offseason, while Maclin was being counted on to serve in both the Tigers receiving corps and return game this fall.

Missouri opens the season on Saturday, September 4th against Central Michigan, before opening SEC play the following week at Kentucky.

This Saturday night (August 21st), the Mizzou football program will host “Fan Night & Flick on Faurot”, inviting fans of all ages to visit Memorial Stadium.  The Tiger team will have an open practice from 6 to 8 o’clock, with gates to the stadium opening at 5.

Gates 1 and 5W will be open for fans to enter, with parking open for the north end and west side lots surrounding the stadium.  A few concession stands will be open on the west side of Faurot Field, with a kid’s zone in the north concourse, featuring inflatables, yard games, face painters, and cotton candy machines.

The “Flick on Faurot” takes place after practice, with fans invited onto the artificial turf to watch a free screening of “Fast & Furious 9”.  Blankets can be brought onto the field, but not food and drink for the event.
