Lawson Invitational opens with Gallatin-Hamilton girls matchup

The 23rd annual Lawson Invitational Basketball Tournament will be open for business at 4:30 this (Monday) afternoon, with long-time rivals Gallatin and Hamilton meeting in a girls quarterfinal contest.  The Lady Bulldogs, the #3 seed in the tournament, take on #6 seed Penney in the first game of the day, with the strong Hamilton boys, a #2 seed for the event, playing the North Platte Panthers in an all-KCI Conference quarterfinal at 6 o’clock.

In the second girls game of the night, the #2 seeded West Platte Lady ‘Jays will challenge conference rival North Platte at 7:30, with the host team, the #1 seeded Lawson boys, battling West Platte at 9 o’clock tonight.

The Trenton Bulldogs will play in the two early games on Tuesday (January 10th) at Lawson High School, with the #1 seed Lady Bulldogs taking on Carrollton at 4:30, and the #3 seed Trenton boys taking on #6 seed Carrollton at 6 o’clock.  Both games will be carried live on Hot Country Z 101.7, with an audio stream available worldwide at www.kttnsports.com.

In the late games on Tuesday night, the Lawson girls host Richmond at 7:30, followed by the Richmond boys taking on Gallatin at 9 o’clock.
