McCoy leaves Super Bowl Champion Chiefs, joins Brady in Tampa Bay

Veteran running back LeSean McCoy, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN,  has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  McCoy played the 2019 season with the Kansas City Chiefs, rushing for career lows of 101 carries and 465 yards for the eventual Super Bowl Champions.  He was a healthy scratch for all three playoff games (HOU, TEN, SF) in January and February.

With Tampa Bay, McCoy is joining a revamped Buccaneers offense that added future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady this offseason, in addition to multi-time Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski, leaving many to believe the team is ready to challenge the Saints for supremacy in the NFC South, and perhaps, become the first franchise to play in the Super Bowl in its own stadium.

In his storied NFL career, McCoy has reached the Pro Bowl six times, named All-Pro twice, with over 11,000 rushing yards and 73 touchdowns with the Eagles, Bills, and Chiefs.
