High school senior cornerback Davion Sistrunk of Melbourne, Florida has verbally committed to the University of Missouri, giving coach Eliah Drinkwitz his ninth commit for the Class of 2021.

Sistrunk had Missouri as one of 12 finalists in his recruitment, along with USC, Penn State, Illinois, and Mississippi State.

Described as a ‘riser’ in the recruiting circles, meaning his ability to improve is large, Sistrunk joins tight end Gavin McKay, quarterback Tyler Macon, and cornerback Darius Jackson as “out-of-state” recruits for MU in the 2021 cycle.

Last season, as a junior, Sistrunk had 29 tackles and three interceptions for Eau Gallie High School.  On the basketball hardwood, Sistrunk had 18 points per game, named Florida’s Class 5A, District 12 player of the year.
