Mizzou freshman Conrad transferring from softball program

Mizzou Softball

University of Missouri softball coach Ehren Earleywine has announced the transfer of pitcher Parker Conrad, the third to transfer from the pitching rubber to out of the Tiger program in the past year.  Last season, MU lost Paige Lowary to the Oklahoma Sooners and Tori Finucane to the Minnesota Golden Gophers in transfer decisions.

Conrad leaves Mizzou after an injury-filled freshman season kept her to a 1-3 record and 3.98 ERA in 31 2/3 innings of work.  Conrad, a native of Winter Park, Florida, has not announced her transfer destination.  If Conrad does not transfer to another SEC school, she will be immediately available to play next year, with three years of eligibility remaining at the collegiate level.

The Tigers top pitcher in 2017, Cheyenne Baxter of Norborne, Missouri, has graduated, leaving Earleywine looking for pitching depth heading into the summer from the transfer route.  MU is adding top recruit Lauren Rice in 2018, along with returning junior pitchers Madi Norman and Danielle Baumgartner.
