The University of Missouri has hired former University of Houston co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Brandon Jones as the new offensive coach of the SEC’s Tigers, replacing Marcus Johnson, who left MU for Purdue in early March.

Jones has a 15-plus year career as a collegiate assistant coach, starting at his alma mater, Texas Tech University, in 2007 as an offensive assistant.  After the stop in Lubbock, his travels took him to Sam Houston in 2009, where he coaches tight ends and running backs.  In his most recent jobs at East Carolina, California, Texas Tech, and Houston, he has remained with the offensive line.
