Mizzou hoops adds Springfield product Trevon Brazile

The University of Missouri men’s basketball program has received a verbal commitment, via Twitter, from Springfield native Trevon Brazile, a three-star prospect according to Rivals that chose the in-state Tigers over offers from Montana State and Cleveland State.  While those offers are from ‘lower-level’ Division 1 schools, Brazile’s finish to his junior season at Parkview High School had attracted interest from the likes of Wichita State, Arkansas, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

As a junior at Parkview, Brazile averaged 11.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.  His plans for his senior season are to transfer to Kickapoo High School in hopes of playing on the same team as another Missouri 2021 commit, guard Anton Brookshire.

Brazile stands 6-feet, 7 inches tall, with the ability to play both guard and forward positions.  He announced the decision on Twitter Tuesday night.

Brazile is now one of four members of Mizzou’s 2021 recruiting class, a group that includes Brookshire, along with Alabama prep guard Kaleb Brown, and New York City area product, forward Sean Durugordon.
