The University of Missouri’s football program will begin preparation for the school’s 131st year this month, with the 2021 season representing the Tigers 10th as a member of the Southeastern Conference.  There will be seven games played at Memorial Stadium in Columbia this fall, with four of them against rival schools from the SEC’s Eastern Division.

The season opener, in just over a month, will see the first ever visit to Mizzou by the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Saturday, September 4th, with the SEC opener, at Kroger Field in Lexington, Kentucky, on September 11th against the host Kentucky Wildcats.

A non-conference contest against in-state foe Southeast Missouri State will coincide with Family Weekend at Mizzou on September 18th, with the first month of the season concluding on September 25th with a first-ever trip for the MU program to Boston, to take on the ACC’s Boston College Eagles.

The Tigers month of October will start with three straight home games, as the Tennessee Volunteers travel to Mid-Missouri on October 2nd, followed by North Texas for the annual Mizzou homecoming game on October 9th, with the Texas A&M Aggies in town for an SEC showdown on October 16th.  After an idle week on October 23rd, Mizzou finishes the second month of the season with a trip to Nashville to battle the Vanderbilt Commodores on October 30th.

In November, the schedule gets more difficult for the Tigers, as Missouri is at Georgia on November 6th, before hosting South Carolina on November 13th and Florida on November 20th.  In the Battle Line Rivalry game, Missouri will play Arkansas at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville at 2:30 on Friday, November 26th.

All of Missouri’s football games in the 2021 season will be aired locally on KTTN FM 92.3.
