North Central Missouri College (NCMC) is celebrating the academic achievements of its student-athletes for the 2022-23 school year. The college’s athletic department proudly announces that twenty-two student-athletes have been named NJCAA Academic All-Americans. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.60 for the academic year.
Among the honorees, nine student-athletes achieved 1st Team status by earning a perfect 4.0 GPA. They are Caragan Baker and Chloe Bell from softball, Will Heller from men’s golf, Josh Hughes from baseball, Lauren Krohn from softball, Bailey Quint from baseball, Gracyn Rongey from softball, Carsen Sporleder from softball, and Kyle Stratman from baseball.
Additionally, there are eight student-athletes who earned 2nd Team Honorees with GPAs ranging from 3.80 to 3.99. They are Rawlins Brant from baseball, Kennadie Crowe from women’s basketball, Justin Dameron from baseball, Cam Dickerson from men’s basketball, Kennedy Dickerson from women’s golf, Tanner Schmidt from baseball, and Jaden Thacker from baseball.
The remaining five student-athletes were recognized as 3rd Team Honorees with GPAs ranging from 3.60 to 3.79. They are Emma Angel from softball, Plinio Donoso from baseball, Laydon Fields from baseball, Brianna Filley from women’s golf, Maeve Lavoy from softball, and Maci Moore from women’s basketball.
NCMC’s Athletic Director, Nate Gamet, expressed his pride in the student-athletes’ achievements and emphasized the college’s commitment to the success of its student-athletes, both academically and on the field. The athletic department at NCMC considers academics as a crucial aspect of student-athletes’ development and recognizes the hard work and dedication of these individuals in achieving such outstanding academic success.
