NCMC women’s basketball signs Brookfield’s Ashtin Williams to LOI

Women's Basketball

Clarence Cannon Conference second-teamer Ashtin Williams of Brookfield High School is the latest to sign with Jenni Croy’s basketball program at North Central Missouri College in Trenton.

Williams, in addition to second-team status in the CCC, is a Class 3, All-District 15 selection by both coaches and media in her junior season.  So far in her senior season, Ashtin is averaging 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 4.1 steals per game for a Brookfield squad that came into the week at 5-2, with a championship in the Higginsville Tournament.

Coach Croy commented that Ashtin “is a 6’0″ forward who can step out and knock down a 3-pointer.  She has a great potential to be an outstanding collegiate player and we are excited to have her at NCMC.”

Ashtin Williams joins a 2017 recruiting class that already had included local standouts Whitley Richman of Trenton High School, Hailey Burrows of Gilman City, and the Mercer duo of Lindsay Wyatt and Nicole Kost.  Specifically, Williams presence should serve as another front-court player to team with the incoming Richman and sophomore-to-be Sarah Lamp of Kirksville High School, already establishing herself as one of the best players on the Lady Pirate roster in 2016-2017.
