The Trenton Lady Bulldogs, in cooperation with the softball program at North Central Missouri College, will host the Nan Carter Tournament on Saturday at the Ebbe Sports Complex adjacent to Trenton High School.
Eight teams are in this year’s event, with four teams each split into two pools, starting at 9 o’clock in the morning. Teams, depending on their records in pool play, will be placed into brackets, with consolation bracket games to be played at 6 o’clock, and the championship bracket games (first and third place) at 7:30 on Saturday night.
Teams in Pool A, with games to be played at Griffin Field, are Trenton, South Harrison, South Harrison, and Platte Valley (Jefferson-South Nodaway). Teams in Pool B, playing at Johnson Field, will be Gallatin, Milan, North Harrison, and Marceline. Each team, weather permitting, will be guaranteed four games, with three in pool play, and one game in bracketed competition.
