The hopes of improvement into the upper echelon of the Grand River Conference’s Eastern Division are evident around Pattonsburg, with the Panthers, potentially, fielding their most talented team in the five years since the return of football to the Daviess County community.
While not the defending state champions from Worth County, nor recent powerhouse teams from Stanberry or North Andrew, this week’s season opener with the Lions of St. Joseph Christian will provide the Panthers with a “litmus test” as to their readiness to challenge in the GRC West in 2018.
This season, the Pattonsburg coaches show with Chase Roberts will air on Tuesday evenings at 5:50 on KTTN FM 92.3. However, for this week only, the “Chase Roberts Show” will air at 6 o’clock on Wednesday night, August 22nd, with the Panthers coming off an impressive showing last Friday in jamboree action.
