Former Princeton and Trenton head football coach Sam Pittman is building momentum on the recruiting trail at the University of Arkansas, with the rookie head coach of the Razorbacks picking up the 14th commitment in the 2021 cycle from three-star defensive tackle Solomon Wright out of Vian, Oklahoma.

Wright reneged on his commitment to Texas Tech, made on May 1st, to join the Razorbacks, becoming the fourth Arkansas commitment from the Sooner State, joining Keuan Parker of Tulsa, A.J. Green of Tulsa, and Javion Hunt of Carl Albert.

Wright stands 6-foot and is 270 pounds, ranked the nation’s #41 D-tackle and state of Oklahoma’s #13 overall prospect in the class, according to 247Sports.  He announced his change of heart from Texas Tech to Arkansas via Twitter.

In other SEC news, Tennessee has dismissed defensive lineman Emmit Gordon from the Volunteers football program, just hours after his arrest on aggravated domestic assault.  Gordon was let go on Thursday night, after being arrested Thursday morning and charged with throwing a glass candle jar at his girlfriend during an argument.  She received three stitches near her left eye from the incident from the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
