Polo earns top seed, Gallatin #2 in District 7 softball tournament

Maysville High School is set to host the Class 1, District 7 softball tournament, scheduled to start on Thursday night (October 12th) with a pair of first-round games.

In Thursday’s opening round, #8 seed DeKalb will play #9 seed Stewartsville/Osborn at 5 o’clock, followed by a matchup with the host school, #7 seed Maysville against Tri-County at 7 o’clock.  Joining Polo and Gallatin in receiving first-round byes are Bishop LeBlond, North Andrew, Pattonsburg, and King City.

Quarterfinal round matchups are set for Saturday, with Polo taking on either DeKalb or Stewartsville/Osborn at 11 o’clock, with #4 seed North Andrew meeting Pattonsburg at 1 o’clock.  In the 3 o’clock matchup, Gallatin battles the Maysville/Tri-County winner, with #3 seed Bishop LeBlond taking on King City at 5 o’clock.

The semifinal round games will be at 5 and 7 ‘clock on Monday, October 16th, with the Class 1, District 7 championship game on Tuesday, October 17th at 6 o’clock.
