Sophomore transfer Ezeagu ruled immediately eligible at K-State

The Kansas State Wildcats are hoping for a bounce-back season in 2020-2021, after enduring a rare sub .500 record for head coach Bruce Weber last year.  In that vein of thought, K-State got some good news on Wednesday, with incoming sophomore forward Kaosi Ezeagu, a 6-foot-10 transfer from Texas-El Paso, receiving a NCAA waiver allowing him to play immediately for the Wildcats.

Ezeagu enrolled at KSU in January, but his playing status was in doubt for the ‘Cats due to being a mid-year transfer.  He sat out all of last season at UTEP, and will have three years of eligibility at Kansas State.

His addition to the roster will add size and depth to a front-court that is looking for both, losing Makol Mawien, James Love, Nigel Shadd, and Levi Stockard from last year’s team.
