KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) Seth Sinovic and Dominic Dwyer each scored goals and added assists and Sporting Kansas City cruised to a 3-1 win over Colorado on Sunday.

The win snaps Sporting KC’s five match losing streak to the Rapids while extending its home unbeaten streak to 12. Kansas City’s three goals were more than in its first four games combined.

Sinovic put Sporting KC (2-0-3) on the board early with a goal in the sixth minute. After Dwyer’s attempt was saved by Rapids goalkeeper Tim Howard, Sinovic corralled the ricochet and hammered the goal home. Kansas City led 1-0 at the break.

Gerso Fernandes made it 2-0 in the 58th minute, and Dwyer added a second insurance goal in the 85th minute to put the match away. Sinovic started the play by finding Soni Mustivar streaking up the sideline. Mustivar then found Fernandes, who had sprinted up the middle, got behind the Colorado defense, and then found the net.

The Rapids (1-2-1) goal came in the fourth minute of stoppage time when Kevin Doyle scored on a penalty kick.
