Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake are rival teams in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS)

Sporting to host Western Conference rival Real Salt Lake on Wednesday night

On Wednesday night, Real Salt Lake will take the pitch at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas to battle Western Conference rival Sporting Kansas City.  

Sporting KC has a record of 6-10-7 and currently sits in 10th place in the Western Conference. They are led by Alan Pulido, who has scored 10 goals this season. Gadi Kinda has also been a key contributor with one goal and three assists in the last 10 games.

Real Salt Lake has a record of 9-7-6 and is in fourth place in the Western Conference. Jefferson Savarino leads the team with five goals and two assists. Danny Musovski has also been in good form, scoring four goals in the last 10 games.

In their last 10 games, Sporting KC has a record of 4-3-3, averaging 1.9 goals per game. Real Salt Lake has a record of 6-1-3, averaging 2.0 goals per game.

Several players are expected to miss the match due to injuries, including Nemanja Radoja, William Agada, Kortne Ford, Tim Melia, and Graham Zusi for Sporting KC, and Rubio Rubin, Maikel Chang, Zack Farnsworth, and Erik Lee Holt for Real Salt Lake.

This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season.  Start time is set for 7:30 PM.
