The Bulldogs opened the scoring on a 55 yard scoring run by Elbert and two-point conversion scamper by Tyler Siemer in the first quarter, doubling the end in the 2nd, as Habelitz scored on a 50 yard dash, followed by a two-point plunge to the end zone by Kaden Owen.

Elbert finished with 137 yards rushing for TMS, while Habelitz had 57 yards, and Siemer 28 yards on the ground for the Bulldogs.  Defensively, in a shutout effort, Trevor Murphy had seven tackles, with Caleb Johnson adding five stops.

Head Coach Jon Guthrie was very pleased with the effort of his team, saying “The boys had a very good team victory against Polo.  Our scout team gave us a great look this week, and worked our first string guys very hard.  Offensively, Ian Elbert and Jarek Habelitz had great games, each scoring twice.  The offensive line also did a very good job executing our counter and sweep plays.  Defensively, Trevor Murphy and Caleb Johnson did a great job leading the team in tackles and setting the edge.  Overall, I’m proud of the boy’s effort!”

The Trenton Middle School boys finish the season on Monday, October 9th, playing at Maysville against the Wolverines.  Kickoff is set for 5 PM with the junior varsity game to follow.
